Interim Checkpoint 1 PACING One class period, approximately 60 minutes MATERIALS • Interim Checkpoint 1, Part 2 • Answer Key: Interim Checkpoint 1, Part 2 INTERIM CHECKPOINT: GRADE 8 CHECKPOINT 1 Have students complete the Interim Checkpoint independently. This two-part assessment consists of a computer-scored formative assessment containing 20 questions worth 20 points and a student-submitted teacher-graded assignment. You should allow approximately 40 minutes for the computer-scored portion of the assessment. You may print and administer the assessment offline. For accurate reporting, however, it is recommended that student assessment data be captured online. You can view detailed class results and individual student attempts on the reports tab within the online course. Students can spend the remaining class time on the teacher-graded assignment. Use this guide to accompany Interim Checkpoint 1, Semester A. Your Choice PACING One class period, approximately 60 minutes WHAT'S NEXT? YOUR CHOICE Students may use this class period in a variety of ways. They can complete any unfinished work, review prior lessons to prepare for the Unit Test, or participate in discussion board posts. You could also use this time to have students prepare for state standardized testing. If students are up-to-date on their assignments and comfortable with the material, you may also suggest they proceed to the next lesson. 125
