Training and Experience FuelEd academic mentors are certified teachers with: • Extensive training in online educataion • A bachelor's degree or higher • Comprehensive training on all FuelEd systems • An in-depth understanding of FuelEd's portfolio and how it's delivered Motivating and Engaging Students Our mentors complement your program with day-to-day essentials by: • Helping students navigate the online environment • Continuously monitoring students to keep them engaged • Keeping students actively working, on track, and moving forward • Communicating assignment and course deadlines, grades, and other key information to students • Improving students' so skills such as organization, time management, and study habits Supporting Your Program Academic Mentors support your program with key information tasks such as: • Monitoring attendance • Reviewing detailed data reports to track student progress • Applying and implementing Individual Education Plans, 504 Plans, or other accommodations • Implementing Individualized Learning Plans and monitoring progress • Documenting student needs and communicating them to teachers, administrators, and parents Academic Mentors also serves as a liaison between students/families and program administrators by: • Working directly with assigned students and families to promote engagement and achievement • Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration to promote student success • Being readily available to students, families, and administration W E B
